Bathroom Makeover part 4: Antique Arched Mirrors from Tetote

When I started this bathroom makeover, I had a pretty clear vision: I wanted the space to feel charming, collected, and full of character. The problem? It started out as a very builder-grade bathroom with oversized plain mirrors, limited storage, and not much personality.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been slowly transforming the space. I painted the vanity, built a custom countertop cabinet for extra storage, added wallpaper behind the vanity, and swapped out the light fixtures. Each project made a difference, but there was still something missing.
That’s where these antique arched mirrors from Tetote came in.
Why I Chose These Mirrors
One of the biggest goals for this makeover was to create a bathroom that felt more custom and less cookie-cutter. I knew I wanted mirrors that would add architectural interest and complement the vintage-inspired style I was creating.
These mirrors immediately stood out because of their beautiful arched shape and ornate detailing at the top.
The warm finish also works beautifully with the other elements in the room, helping tie everything together while adding a layer of warmth and character.
Installation
One thing I loved about this project was how straightforward it was. The French cleat hangers are integrated right into the frame which made this so quick and easy.
Since the wallpaper, vanity, and lighting were already in place, installing the mirrors was one of those satisfying updates that delivered a big visual payoff without requiring a major renovation.
As soon as they were hung, I knew they were exactly what the space needed.
The Impact Was Immediate
It’s funny how one change can completely alter the feel of a room.
Before installing the mirrors, the bathroom still felt like a collection of individual projects. The painted vanity looked great. The wallpaper added personality. The new lighting elevated the space.
But once the mirrors went up, everything suddenly felt intentional. Not to mention it finally felt like it wasn’t a construction zone
The arches soften the room, draw your eye upward, and create a focal point above the vanity. The decorative details add just enough visual interest without feeling overly ornate, and they perfectly balance the wallpaper and lighting.
We’re Not Done Yet
While these mirrors were a major milestone in the makeover, there are still a few finishing touches left before I can officially call this bathroom complete.
Next up, I’ll be adding some new faucets, a shelf over the toilet, funky artwork, towel hooks, and a few other details that will help bring even more personality to the space.
