Tile stickers!

I wanted to try something new for this bathroom floor but didn’t want the hassle of demo or painting the tile or (insert all the things here) so I decided to try out a tile decal.

This is different from a peel and stick tile because it’s thinner. Think: a super thick contact paper. Easy to cut with scissors or a razor blade and super flexible and lightweight.

I found Bleucoin through Etsy I believe. It was eons ago and I just saved the webpage because it looked intriguing.

Anyway here’s how I did it: install video

I counted how many tiles I needed to cover, and measured the tile from grout line to grout line.

When I ordered these Milan tile decals, I specified that I wanted the tile decal without grout lines (you can ask for grout lines printed on them) and while they do have tons of size options, I entered the exact measurements because I’m cool like that.

I paid about $150.

Gryff had a hard day at the vet so he was feeling super needy, poor dude.

It took me a minute to get the first sticker lined up but once I got in the groove it was smooth sailing.

I used my wallpaper smoothing tool to press it all down evenly.

Phoebe already claimed them for herself.

Cutting these around the edges was super simple. I just smoothed them up to the wall, then cut with my blade.

I did the same thing around the toilet.

I have no idea how long these will last but I truly hope it’s a long time. I absolutely love themmmmm. I mean look at em.

The website says they are water and heat resistant and easy to clean. Just don’t use harsh chemicals. I guess we’ll see.

Here’s hoping! In the meantime- I love these so much.
